CP-96486 is a potent and orally active leukotriene D₄ (LTD₄)/platelet activating factor (PAF) receptor antagonist with K_is of 20 and 24 nM, respectively.

IC50 & Target: Ki: 20 nM (LTD₄ receptor), 24 nM (PAF receptor)^[1]

In Vitro: CP-96486 (CP-96,486) antagonizes ³H-LTD4 binding to guinea pig lung membranes and ³H-PAF binding to rabbit platelets with K_i's of 20 and 24 nM respectively^[1].

In Vivo: CP-96486 (CP-96,486) inhibits iv LTD₄- and iv PAF-induced bronchoconstriction in guinea pigs with ED₅₀'s of 0.27 and 0.26 mg/kg p.o. respectively^[1].
